March 11, 2009 — Sara Evans has written a number of her biggest
hits, including "Born To Fly," "I Keep Looking" and "You’ll Always Be
My Baby." Now she’s tackling something even bigger: her first novel.
Sara has signed a four-book deal with Nashville’s Thomas Nelson publishing company, The Nashville Business Journal reported, and her debut novel is expected this year.
Sara characterizes the plot as an "emotional, Southern-flavored, multi-generational tale, featuring a compelling love story."
"I believe there is power in great stories," she said. "This is the kind of book I love to read and share."
Sara’s co-writing with Rachel Hauck, whose credits include Diva Nash Vegas and Love Starts With Elle.
On Thursday, Sara will shoot a GAC special, ACM Top New Artists,
in Nashville. She’s set to host the program, which will highlight the
contenders for Top New Artist of the Year: Julianne Hough, Jake Owen
and the Zac Brown Band.
